Portfolio of VOC Work
PORTFOLIO OF VOC VAPOR WORK

We have an impressive list of projects done by our firm. In additional to these commercial projects, we've completed over 100 residential VOC projects.

US EPA TCE REMEDIATION, FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, WARREN COUNTY, NJ- JUNE 2007

Conducted permeability mapping of the soil beneath the building and designed a 33 suction point active soil depressurization system to extract TCE vapors. Sub-slab medium ranged from crushed stone to highly compacted clay. Solution required a wide range of specified blowers with specific suction point location to establish the necessary pressure field extension. This school is part of the Pohatcong Valley Ground Water Site.

VIP DRY CLEANERS, MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – OCTOBER 2006, PHASE II – JUNE 2007
Design and installation of Active Soil Depressurization systems to mitigate PCE vapor intrusion in a strip mall containing a dry cleaning operation. The site has several elevations that are in contact with the soil and was built in at least 10 sections between 1942 and 1944.

CONFIDENTIAL CLIENT. PARSIPPANY, NJ – 2007
Designed Active Soil Depressurization systems to mitigate PCE vapor intrusion in a strip mall containing a dry cleaning operation. The building was built on top of compacted native soils in the late 1950’s

EXXON/MOBIL GES, VOC MITIGATION OF A RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE IN
LEONIA, NJ – MARCH 2007
Design and installation of a vapor removal system to mitigate a home for the presence of benzene, MTBE, toluene, and other contaminants there were entering the home as a result of an underground storage tank leak.   This project represented the first vapor mitigation system that met Exxon/Mobil’s explosion proof criteria.

XEROX CORP., BLAUVELT, NY – AUGUST 2006, PHASE II – FEBRUARY 2007
Design and installation of a Soil Depressurization VOC mitigation system to reduce the entrainment of TCE and PCE vapors in a former production facility. Currently, the structure is being used a distribution center.

CONFIDENTIAL CLIENT, LIVINGSTON, NJ – FEBRUARY 2007
Design and installation of an Active Soil Depressurization system to reduce PCE vapor intrusion in a strip mall that formerly housed a dry cleaning venture. Sub-slab medium for the 1950’s structure was compacted native soils.

VOC MITIGATION OF SEMI-HISTORIC RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE, ASBURY ROAD, FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ – DECEMBER 2006
Design and installation of vapor extraction system to mitigate structure for TCE vapor entrainment below Method TO-15 laboratory detection limits. Building is part of the Pohatcong Valley Ground Water Site.

VOC MITIGATION OF RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURES IN ROXBURY, NJ – MAY 2006
Design and installation of VOC vapor mitigation systems to reduce Benzene and MTBE levels in home as a result of a leaking underground storage tank. Contaminant levels are currently below NJ health based screening values.

USEPA BUILDINGS, RARITAN ARSONAL, EDISON, NJ - 2005
Redesign and installation of 16 multi-point Active Soil Depressurization systems in three separate buildings. Prior to installation, the specified systems were reconfigured to correct design deficiencies that would have created condensation problems. The first building is a 92,800 square foot single story office and warehouse. The second and third buildings are multi-storied office buildings. All three buildings are constructed of steel, poured concrete, and brick. Post mitigation Indoor VOC concentrations are below NJ health based screening values.

ROCKWELL INTERNATIONAL SUPERFUND SITE, HOPEWELL, NJ – 2007
Design and installation of multiple Active Soil Depressurization systems to reduce TCE vapor intrusion at multiple sites on and around former electronic components assembly facility. Ground zero structure is a multi-slab mixed use building containing office and warehouse facilities. Surrounding contaminated structures include both commercial and residential properties. Project is ongoing.

HARRISON HIGH SCHOOL, HARRISON, NJ – 2005-2006
Redesigned soil depressurization system for Harrison High School. Provided oversight, inspections, and progress reports for 25 passive soil depressurization systems. Building construction is two story steel, concrete block, and brick. The building is built over a brown field land the systems will be activated once pollutant levels are quantified.
